Thank you Madison!

Thank you for visiting my site.
I’m sure you are here because our children, our schools and our community are important to you.
The most important thing I can share is that I care about the children in our community. This is why I am running for Madison School Board. While I don’t have children of my own, I have spent thousands of hours over the last 13 years volunteering in classrooms, tutoring and mentoring children, working with teachers, schools, the School District and non-profits so that Madison children are learning, engaged and thriving.
I will bring to the Board of Education the experience, skills and partnerships needed to move us forward. I know we can build on our strengths, focus on what works and do better for our children.
I am excited to hear from you, what your goals are for your child’s education, what you would like see to your school address, and hear your vision for Madison schools.
5 Goals for Madison Schools
- Ensure challenging, engaging education for all students. All families should be confident their child is learning and getting the support they need to thrive and succeed.
- Ensure we have the best teachers for our students by creating a positive, supportive and highly motivating work environment. Teachers are the heart and soul of our public schools. We can achieve great things only with great teachers.
- Ensure adequate funding and effective use of resources. We need to focus on what is working and make change where needed, so that tax dollars most effectively serve students’ education.
- Actively engage parents, of current and future students, in our public schools and in their children’s learning.
- Build partnerships and collaborations that benefit our public schools and our students. We have a wealth of opportunity to work with city, county, colleges and universities, non-profits and businesses in new ways that add resources and provide a breadth of experience.
We have an opportunity right now to bring our community together and make public education the top priority for Madison as a whole. We can rise to the challenges with leadership, a commitment to do better and a spirit of working together.
